The focal point of the inkstand is an eagle with outstretched wings perched atop the hinged lid of the inkwell. It serves as a finial when opening the lid. On the bottom of the inkstand, there is a mark consisting of an “S” enclosed within an uneven oval, along with the number “B128”.
