A distinguished gentleman monkey wearing a waistcoat and carrying a walking stick and top hat stands as a lid atop a swirled glass inkwell.
We believe this inkwell was produced by the Meriden Britannia Co. established in Hamilton, Ontario Canada in 1879 and a sister company to the Meriden Silverplate Company of Meriden, Connecticut. The piece is numbered #206.
