This souvenir inkstand from the 1937 Paris Exposition features a detailed miniature of the USSR pavilion, crowned with a striking sculpture of a man holding a hammer and a woman holding a sickle, symbolizing the worker-peasant alliance. The central building is flanked by two inkwells, each with a hinged lid. In front of the structure is a pen channel for resting writing instruments. The base of the inkstand is marked “Made in France LL No. 12.”
